Stolen or Lost Item
If your item has been lost or stolen, it is recommended not to unlock the item tag.
○ If someone is using your lost item to contact you against your wishes, you can always mute notifications to keep them from bothering you.
○ Once a tag is unlocked, it may be claimed by another owner. The new owner information will not be shared with the previous owner.
Release Ownership - Reset PhoneInform Tag
If you are no longer the owner of the valuable and have gifted or sold your PhoneInform tag along with your valuable, follow the below steps to reset to default settings:
○ Login to your PhoneInform account
○ Select the valuable item which you wish to release from your ownership
○ Confirm release of the valuable
○ Record the setup code for the PhoneInform tag which will be needed to complete setup for the new owner.
Attach PhoneInform Tag To New Valuable
If you wish to use your PhoneInform tag with a new valuable, follow the below steps to reset to default settings:
○ Login to your PhoneInform account
○ Select the valuable item which you wish to update
○ Update the fields which you would like to change
